Recently, I stumbled upon a few interesting publications about the new trends in touch screen notebook development. HP, with its Touchsmart, and Pavilion touch screen tablet Series is already one of the biggest players in the touch screen laptop computer market now. However, it looks like other manufactures discovered that touchscreen notebooks should be their next target. Asus has already introduced Eee Top Touchscreen PC laptops and other producers like Acer have also joined this band wagon. In our opinion it looks like the new trend and next stage in notebook development. It is for sure connected with new features that Windows 7 offers. This newest operating system has full support for touch screen technology. It is much more user friendly and will allow use of this technology even for those applications that were initially not supporting it. Microsoft’s official – Julie Larson-Green- said during a Windows7 presentation that Microsoft adapted some of the multi- touch7 technology from their Surface project.
